If you’re not in Paris don’t “check in” as surviving (like people did with the earthquake earlier this year) or use the porte ouverte/shelter hashtag because you’re clogging it up and blocking people from being able to get help/update people nearby or check up on their loved ones. Half the posts in the hashtags are “omg faith in humanity restored” and you’re pushing genuine offers of help out of view.
